(Parents of the Baby), you have accepted your responsibilities as parents, you have professed your love for your son, and your hopes for his future. I now ask you, what first name do you give to to child?

Parents:
We give you this first name, (Baby Name), which means (Explanation of the Name). May you exemplify the meaning of this name in the way you live your life.

Celebrant:
What middle name do you give this child?

Parents:
We give you this middle name (Baby Name), which means (Explanation of the Name) bestowed on you in honour of (Relative or Friend). May you carry with you his (honesty, optimism etc.,)

Celebrant:
What last name do you give this child?

Parents:
We give our last name, (Parent's Name). May it stand for your heritage and those for your children.
