Wedding with a Theme

While some civil marriages are as traditional as those performed in the church, others follow the interests of the couples.

There are those based on themes and historical eras - like the flappers of the early 20s, the peace loving hippies of the 60s, the back to the nature ceremonies, the rock and roll followers, the country and western, the science fiction, the medieval, the grunge style, the Lady of Shallot style, Star Wars style, or even to imitate some of the soap operas viewed on television.

There have been brides who have arrived at the wedding on horseback, and grooms who have turned up look-alikes of Elvis Presley and others.

Often the theme goes beyond just dressing up. Sometimes even the language of the ceremony is couched to sound as though it comes right from the era being themed.
