Wedding Ceremony Reading Suitable for the Bride and Groom

For a marriage ceremony to be legal, there are few simple requirements. After that, a couple may create a wedding ceremony that is both personal and unique.

One of the ways partners personalise their wedding ceremony is by addressing each other either in their own words, or by selecting a poem that appropriately expresses their feelings for each other.

Here are two samples taken out of my Wedding Ceremony Resource Book

Groom:
I do not want to change you,
You know what is best for you much better than I.
I do not want you to change me.
I want you to accept me and respect me the way I am.
In this way we can build a strong relationship
Based on reality rather than a dream.

Bride:
All that I am, I give to you
All that I have, I share with you.
I will serve you with tenderness and respect,
And encourage you to develop the potential within you.
Whatever the future holds, I will strengthen you with my love.
