Wedding Ceremony Dedication to the Parents of the Bride and GroomOne of the ways the bride and groom personalise their wedding ceremony is by making a special mention of their parents in the wedding ceremony introduction. Other ways of honouring parents is by having the entrance of the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom accompanied by a special piece of music. A song may also be dedicated to the parents' of the bride and groom within the wedding ceremony. Apart from music, a bride and groom will either read a poem of thanks to their parents during the wedding ceremony, or have a groomsman or a bridesmaid read in their stead. Another way for the bride and groom to personalise their wedding ceremony is by making the offering of a gift to the parents of the bride and groom as part of the wedding ceremony. There was one groom, who, for a bit of a laugh, presented each of the fathers with a cigar! Normally, however, the gifts presented by the bride and groom are gift wrapped and placed on the table with the marriage register.
