Wedding Ceremony Candle Lighting for Absent Friends    

For a marriage ceremony to be legal, there are few simple requirements. After that, a couple may create a wedding ceremony that is both personal and unique.

Within the wedding ceremony a couple may choose to commemorate the memory of either absent friends, or deceased relatives, by lighting a candle for them.

Here are couple of samples taken out of my Wedding Ceremony Resource Book.

The candle (Bride) and (Groom) have lit symbolises the memories of absent relatives and friends. May their blessing be with (Bride) and (Groom) today and always.

(Groom) and (Bride) wish to honour those that have given light to their souls, and have helped them by enhancing their lives, both individually and as a couple. Today they wish to thank those people – both those who are with us today, and those that cannot be with us today in the physical form, yet nevertheless are with us in spirit and in our hearts.

Having found each other to share and grow, (Bride) and (Groom) ask (Friend) to start the flame of thanks, to all those that have touched their lives.
