Wedding Ceremony Handfasting Jumping the Broom

For a marriage ceremony to be legal, there are few simple requirements. After that, a couple may create a wedding ceremony that is both personal and unique.

One of the new symbols appearing in the contemporary wedding is Handfasting which comes down to us from hundreds of years ago. Apart from using cords, ribbons and shawls, part of the ceremony  can include jumping the broom

The broom has a long history. It has represented luck, fortune, and fertility of family and wealth.

As you jump it, it will symbolize your willingness to jump together over all obstacles, be they wild and unanticipated, or mundane and expected.
