Wedding Ceremony Handfasting Vows

For a marriage ceremony to be legal, there are few simple requirements. After that, a couple may create a wedding ceremony that is both personal and unique.

The Handfasting ceremony can be enhanced by the use of language appropriate to its origins and intentions.

Handfasting Vows
Bride:
I come to your reverently this day, desiring to be your wife.
Groom:
I come to your reverently this day, desiring to be your husband.

Bride:
Because of our love, we will be blessed with the joy and comfort of marriage.
Groom:
Because of our love, we will endure all trials and cares.

Bride:
I will respect and honour you.
Groom:
I will cherish and protect you.

Bride:
