A wedding ceremony followed by a reception in the same location is one of the most convenient way of celebrating your wedding day.

Some establishments which have the capacity to have the wedding ceremony followed by a wedding reception include private homes, restaurants, clubs, public gardens and specially designed reception centres. When planning your two in one ceremonies here are some things to consider:

• Will one location be used for your wedding ceremony and one for your reception, or will both be held in the same area?

• Ask the proprietor to let you see how this will look on your wedding day by letting you come in when they're preparing for another wedding.

• Are there any gardens where you can hold your wedding ceremony and your wedding photographs followed by an indoor reception.

• Check if there's anything on the premises that you'll be able to use - microphones, speaker's stand. Will they be part of the service, or is there an extra fee attached.

• Find out who will be responsible for the decorations and if you have a choice of how this is arranged.
